Training Center GraphicSUNY Training Center (SUNY TC) is a component of Advanced Learning and Information Services in the office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The SUNY TC is a special-purpose, system-wide organization within SUNY that promotes the use of leading-edge educational technologies throughout the State University. The Center makes training and professional development available on a diverse list of multi-media systems and hundreds of software programs. More so, it acts as a catalyst for the development of educational technologies on individual campuses by:

  • promoting cost savings on a system-wide basis
  • providing centralized, regional, and local training opportunities
  • creating networking opportunities among campuses for instructional development initiatives

The Center is located in Syracuse, but it operates as a "virtual" organization, drawing from and sharing expertise throughout SUNY. The Center offers programs for a variety of SUNY audiences, including:

  • Executive Community (Presidents, Vice Presidents, Senior Management)
  • Academic Community (Faculty, Librarians, Academic Support Staff)
  • Administrative/Professional Community (Managers, UUP Staff)

The SUNY TC is supported by a combination of system-level funds and fees paid by campuses for membership and participation. Membership is voluntary and open to all SUNY state-operated, statutory, and community colleges. The Center is governed by an Advisory Committee that represents its members.

For more details on membership, please contact the Center.
